A general mercantile agent dealing with a specified category or categories of goods. As an agent he is distinguished by the fact that, provided he has possession of the goods coming into these categories with the consent of the owner, he can sell and give a good title to an innocent purchaser for value, whether or not the true owner has given his permission to sell. An art dealer, for instance, could sell pictures lent to him for display, provided the buyer was not aware of this fact.
