Employers’ association

A body representing employers in some sector of the economy. Such bodies may conduct collective bargaining with trade unions on behalf of their members, on wages, hours, and working conditions. They often also lobby the government about changes in laws affecting their members, for example concerning security of employment or health and safety measures.
